Delete your Muamer account
Primary path: inside the app
- Open Settings in the app and choose Delete account.
- A screen summarizes the main account-related effects of deletion and what remains as organization records; the complete list appears below and in the privacy policy.
- Type the word «حذف» exactly — no password and no email code is requested, and the same step works for Google and Apple sign-in accounts.
- Press Delete account in the final confirmation dialog. Deletion then executes immediately in the live service: you are signed out of all devices and the account is removed, subject to the backup period described below.
If you own an organization
An account that owns an organization cannot be deleted until each owned organization is explicitly deleted first — so no organization is ever destroyed as a side effect of deleting an account. Organization deletion is a separate action in the organization's own settings, confirmed solely by typing the organization's exact name — and it permanently removes all of its content: projects, transactions, photos, the client portal, and every member's work in it.
What is deleted? What remains?
Deleted immediately from the live service
- The account itself and sign-in methods stored by Muamer (password or Google/Apple links). If an Apple account has a stored refresh token, Muamer asks Apple to revoke that token before completing deletion. For older accounts without that token, Muamer removes the link from its own service but cannot guarantee provider-side revocation.
- All open sessions on all devices.
- Every organization membership link to your account. Pending invitations addressed to your email are revoked, but the invitation record and its data remain with the organization.
Retained or potentially retained
- A pseudonymous verification identifier: a deterministic keyed HMAC digest of the normalized email address, together with its reason and timestamps, used to prevent re-use of the evaluation period after an account or organization is deleted. The record does not store the readable email address, but the digest is pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous. The system currently applies no automatic expiry to this record.
- Organization content you created while working there (transactions, photos, activity): the organization's business records, staying with the organization and displaying the member name kept in the organization's own records — with no link to your deleted account.
- Records organizations entered about you (member names, contact details, and invitations): the organization's records, like its paper ledgers.
- Operational, security, and diagnostic records: application events, server logs, and crash records may remain, including an event recording that deletion completed, internal identifiers, IP address, device or browser user agent, and request data, for as long as needed for security, failure diagnosis, and legal obligations.
- Backups and staged files: rolling database backups expire within up to 30 days. Files uploaded to storage but not successfully attached to a record may remain until removed through storage cleanup.
Organization content and records persist as long as the organization itself does — we impose no separate horizon on them, and they are removed from the live service when the organization is deleted, subject to the backup period above. Full details in the privacy policy.
Fallback path: if you cannot access the app
If you lost your device or credentials, or uninstalled the app, send a deletion request to [email protected]
or via Muamer on WhatsApp.
We first verify your identity (protecting your account from hostile deletion requests by someone else), then answer and execute within six working days at most, and confirm completion to you on the same channel. A request that fails identity verification is refused through the same channel and the account remains unchanged.
